Short Biographies

Sara Trickey studied Classics at Cambridge before a year's postgraduate study at the Royal College of Music.

She then enjoyed a two-year scholarship with Camilla Wicks at the San Francisco Conservatory, winning various chamber music awards.

She currently studies with David Takeno, while pursuing a freelance career.

She is leader and founder member of the Bronte quartet, which has performed in London and around Europe, including concerts in the Netherlands and on Austrian state radio.

She has also regularly led the Cardiff Bay Chamber Orchestra.

Sara has received kind sponsorship from the Countess of Munster Musical Trust and the Arts Council of Wales.

Chris Willis is twenty-two years old. He attended the Junior department of the Royal College of Music, where he began studying with Aaron Shorr who remains his piano teacher; later. reading Music at Clare College, Cambridge, he played Rachmaninov's 3rd Piano Concerto with the University orchestra, conducted by Stephen Cleobury, and also won the Music faculty's prize for his degree recital, graduating with First Class Honours.

He has performed widely, both as a soloist and chamber musician, including appearances in St Johns, Smith Square, on Classic FM and in Paris, Hungary, Austria and Germany, and has given numerous concerto performances, including engagements with the New London Orchestra and in the Royal Albert Hall.

Chris is now completing a Master's degree at the Royal Academy of Music.
Next year he hopes to continue his studies in Europe.
