Acrobat

The promotion for this recital is through Acrobat Services and
one aspect is to demonstrate how Acrobat and PDF files can be used.

If you don't already have the Acrobat Reader, it is available from Adobe.

There will be examples in the seating area outside the music room of
hard copy produced from PDF. The Exeter Sneakernet is an aspect of Acrobat Services.
Files on disc have been useful during the years as bandwidth has improved.

Acrobat Services has promoted two previous Sara Trickey recitals in Exeter.
Some of the PDF files stille xist and will be added as they are found.
One example programme from 1996.

There is also a test page for Brahms as several images can be found.
So far there is nothing announced from Brahms for the 22nd but you might like to print one out and display it if this is something you'd want to encourage.

The Exeter Sneakernet is an aspect of Acrobat Services based at Hyperactive Café in Exeter. The idea has been to create PDF on the café computers and carry a disc by walking to nearby printers. Now that email is better established the scope has expanded to include web design around PDF and sending PDF as email. However the range is close enough to Queen Street so that people involved could meet on occasions.

'inxpress' is part of the domain of Internet Express, a previous name for Hyperactive Café. Aspects of this made connections during the exhibition 'From Script to Print to Hypertext' . There should be more links on this later.

There will be hard copy available outside the Music Room between 6.30 and 7.30 on the 22nd. This will show some aspects of how PDF links the web and hard copy. Depending on rehearsals there may be something there during the afternoon. there will also be something available at Hyperactive near Central Station.
