Scene.org remains the key link as it leads to other links and also broadband is NOT A PROBLEM in wi-fi Exeter
The files to look for include Halla, Ploop, Variform, VIP2, Energia by Sunflower, juustomaariageneraattori_by_exile_studios, mfx_lrtp, and the 64k fr08_final. The talk / film from onedotzero was around a 'culture of fear' associated with computer games and the web. Some animation is like an action game but also some is spaced out / relaxing. Please send links for such free downloads. It would be good to offer a counter to the fear culture next year. Lumen distributed the film for A Beautiful Virus Inside the Machine: Animation works by Lillian Schwartz, 1970-8 , shown as part of the main festival. Some shorts from this time could be shown together with work from scene.org or as part of a series. See the Careers Day report on screen through computer. |
