There will be a 'Meet the Blogger' session at Life Bytes on Feb 11th around lunchtime. At 2.30 there will be some short films from the Phoenix at the Globe. Whether they include animation is one of the topics to be discussed.

The blog is at Blogspot.
Probably more updated than this web page.

Download in PDF the poster, flier

and a draft document on related issues

Agenda to include

  • finding scene.org on the web
  • update on 'A New Canvas'
  • CDs etc from BETT
  • open source
  • 'The North' at Spacex

UPDATE Feb 16th 2006 Keep scrolling down for an advert from Google video. Your link here. If you manage to upload something to Google Video please get in touch.

There may be more on another blog mostly about learning.

The good news is that Google Video now offer to host any sort of video that is legal and in more or less good taste. They do charge for premium offers like 'I Love Lucy'. The only bad news is that the upload procedure is a bit complicated and they have a clear idea about formats. If you get stuck then Life Bytes may be able to help. Exeter Television is currently testing out YouTube. This last sentence was added in Jan 2007. Just one example of why the blog may work better. At least you can tell how out of date stuff is.

Fear and Web Culture revisited

A couple of years ago there was a talk at the Phoenix from onedotzero about fear and web culture. It turned out to be a comparison of games and film and how to generate fear and suspense. I thought it was more about the culture of fear about the web that limits the use that is made of it. The topic on the Guardian was deleted but I kept a PDF copy.
