"Animex" is an online fringe for animation in Exeter
Home update Mar 25th Scroll down for Vibraphonic link

This site continues online a digital fringe for Animated Exeter. The intention is to suggest a more digital take on animation for 2005. So this site will be updated over the next year.

There was a Windows aspects to the Games Day. Also some web information at the Careers Day. Exeter is now thought of as a centre for Wi-Fi culture. So next year there may be digital animation for various devices. There is a blog on wifiExeter that will include Animated Exeter over the next few months.

This site is sponsored by Acrobat Services, so one aspect is to show sample PDFs. But please send links to Flash etc. PDF is part of a developing mix.

Some of the links page is relevant to events during Animated Exeter.

The Hard Copy includes PDF for a poster and comics. The comic convention at the Phoenix showed some links into animation.

The Training page assumes that designers now need to cover web animation as well as page design. There was a stand for this during the Careers Day and this will ber repeated next year.

During the 2003 festival we managed to create a new animated gif that could be used to link to the official site ( see top right)

Animation festival is about to start, (to be continued) takes time to load (2.8meg)

So there may be more later but this is a proof of concept.

New designs for later version

This GIF is definitely animated so is within the scope of animation. Other streaming media as Quicktime etc. also relates
Psand will be involved in wi-fi across the strait near Gibraltar on June 22-23rd, part of Fadaiat. Some of the streaming media could be seen as animation. There may be an actual wi-fi aspect to a future event in Exeter. Meanwhile you have to "use your imagination, making the best of a bad situation".
